Sing 2 Summary

     While searching through movies to watch, I stumbled upon an inspirational movie titled “SING 2“, which is a continuation of the previous movie, “Sing”.  Although these are children’s movies, they both contain inspirational messages for people who are pursuing a goal, or dream in life.  In case you haven’t seen these two marvelous movies, I will give a brief explanation of the two movies and what ADVERSITY they faced while chasing their dreams.

      In the two movies, “Sing” and “Sing 2” the main character, Buster Moon, strives to become one of the greatest theater producers in history.  To accomplish this task, he recruits a group of the finest singers, artists, and dancers in his town. The crew that he recruits show promising talent in which he feels confident that this dream will eventually come true.  However, adversity strikes him and backs him into a corner as he gets rejected by a scout that promotes some of the greatest theatre producers.  Thus, telling him that he is not good enough and he will never accomplish his dreams.  After hearing this, the main character gets engulfed by these words and starts to give up on his dreams.  However, he regains his confidence from an uplifting motivator who told him to never give up and always chase his dreams no matter how bad it gets.  After the conversation, Buster Moon and his crew drove to a big-time theater; where he gets a chance at an audition and eventually gets hired to produce his stage play.  Advancing toward the end of the movie, he accomplishes his dreams as one of the greatest movie producers through an exciting play titled “Out of This World”.

     These are inspirational movies to watch regardless of your age because they provide a message; specifically for young scholars.  The moral of the story is to never give up when you are faced with adversity in your life and always strive for greatness.  When you put in hard work with the mindset of accomplishing whatever goal, or dream you desire, it will open up opportunities for you to showcase your talents.  Thus, this move provides another message that reveals to never give up on your dreams no matter how much adversity you overcome because the sky is always the limit.

     The message in this story is meaningful to me because it can be compared to what I’ve faced throughout my high school career and what I did to become the person I am today.  It can also be applied to future goals and dreams that I have set for myself.  Although I am well aware that not all dreams will come true, I am confident that hard work does pay off in the future; and nothing will stop me from accomplishing my dreams. 

Having the opportunity to pure my heart, knowledge and wisdom into this young man was a blessing, but the respect, passion and determination he displayed, to listen and learn was outstanding. What is amazing about building a relationship, as a mentor with George is that, it all took place via text, emails, and occasional phone calls.  Like the video above; that game was against my HS Alma Mater and as much as I love and respect my Fighting Wildcats, I was extremely excited, proud and overjoyed to see my mentor score that TD, especially after the conversation that him and I had the night before the big game.
