📖 Scripture Focus: Daniel 6:23 “The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.”

🔥 Faith That Stands Firm vs. Faith That Compromises

This week’s message is special—it’s Faith Friday, Valentine’s Day, and my mother’s birthday. My mother was my spiritual leader and provider, and just as she trained me up in faith, I am committed to teaching the next generation of student-athletes to apply God’s Word to every area of life, not just their athletic goals.

The story of Daniel and the story of Ananias and Sapphira show us two very different types of faith:

1️⃣ Non-Negotiable Faith – Daniel & the Three Hebrew Boys

📖 Daniel 3:17-18 “…But even if He does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Daniel and his friends faced life-or-death situations, yet they refused to compromise their faith. No matter the cost, they stood firm. Whether it was the lion’s den or the fiery furnace, their trust in God never wavered. Because of their obedience, God delivered them.

💡 Athletes: How strong is your faith when pressure comes? Do you trust God with your future, even when the odds seem against you?

2️⃣ Negotiated Faith – Ananias & Sapphira

📖 Acts 5:3-5“You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”

Ananias and Sapphira wanted the appearance of faith without the full commitment. They held back what belonged to God, thinking they could deceive Him. But faith isn’t something we negotiate. Either we trust God fully, or we don’t. Their lack of surrender cost them their lives.

💡 Athletes: Are you fully committed to your purpose, or are you holding something back? Faith isn’t just about what we say—it’s about how we live, train, and compete.

💡For My Student-Athletes:
Your faith should be like your commitment to the game. You don’t train only when it’s easy or show up only when you feel like it. You put in the work every day, in every situation.

Faith works the same way—if you compromise, you limit what God can do in your life. But if you stand strong like Daniel, God will elevate you beyond what you can imagine.

👨‍👨‍👧‍👦For Parents & Supporters:
My mother lived out Proverbs 22:6—“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” She didn’t just teach faith—she demonstrated it. That’s my goal with Faith Fridays: to provide a consistent method of motivation within my mentoring program, showing student-athletes how to apply God’s Word beyond sports—into every part of their lives.

💬 Reflection & Call to Action

This week, take time to reflect:
✅ Am I fully trusting God, or am I negotiating my faith based on circumstances?
✅ When faced with challenges, do I stand firm like Daniel, or do I compromise like Ananias?

💡The Lesson:
Faith is not something you pick and choose when it’s convenient. True faith means standing firm even when it’s uncomfortable, trusting God completely instead of negotiating based on fear or personal gain.

At DM9, LLC, my mission is to build faith-driven, disciplined, and committed student-athletes. Just as Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

💎 Happy Faith Friday. Happy Valentine’s Day. And Happy Birthday, Mom. Your legacy lives on.
