I’ve read the story of Joseph many times. How he was betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and thrown into prison—yet, no matter where he was, he kept finding himself in a position of leadership. Even in prison, he was given authority.

But the part of Joseph’s story that really stands out to me is how God placed the right people in the right position at the right time to elevate him.

While Joseph was in prison, he met two men from Pharaoh’s palace—the cupbearer and the baker. Both had dreams, and Joseph, through God’s wisdom, interpreted them correctly. The baker was executed, and the cupbearer was restored to his position. Before he left, Joseph asked him for one thing:

“Remember me when you stand before Pharaoh.”

But the cupbearer forgot him.

That is, until Pharaoh had a dream no one could interpret. Suddenly, the cupbearer remembered Joseph. And just like that, Joseph was brought before the king.

The Lesson in Joseph’s Story

Over the years, I’ve taken many lessons from Joseph’s story. But the one I want to share today is this:

Even in the midst of adversity, God positions the right people to bless you—at the right time.

Joseph never lost faith. He never lost focus. He remained obedient, and when his moment came, his name was brought before the king.

Now, here I am, stepping into a new chapter of my journey, and this lesson speaks to me louder than ever.

A New Opportunity: Becoming NFA Commissioner

Recently, I was appointed Commissioner of the National Football Association (NFA). When I spoke with Randall Fields, I told him how honored I was for this opportunity—but I also shared my frustration.

For too long, I’ve watched people pretend to be building legitimate indoor football leagues, giving false hope to players and coaches. Too many men have been misled by empty promises.

That’s why I accepted this position. Not just for me—but for the opportunity to build something real.

When the article about me was published, it highlighted my journey—how I excelled as a player in the Arena Football League, the obstacles I overcame, and the success I had as a coach.

But even with all of that, I never had the chance to give back to the game and the league that changed my life.

Until now.

Becoming a Gate Keeper

When I look back at my life, I can’t help but see the hand of God in every step of my journey. And I will never forget where my blessings come from.

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33

Joseph had a gatekeeper—someone in position to speak his name at the right time.

Now, I am in that position.

As Commissioner of the NFA, I thank the Lord for this opportunity. This league is about giving opportunities—for players who still dream of playing professional football, for coaches waiting for their shot, and for those who want to build a professional team the right way.

Some will say it’s impossible. And that’s fine. They’re entitled to their opinion.

But as I told Randall, I speak from experience and faith.

I once had this same dream—as a player and later as a coach. Now, I have the chance to help build something that can bless many others.

Indoor football is still a great game and a powerful platform. It gave me an opportunity, and now, through the NFA, I will help create those same opportunities for others.

This is my mission, my calling, and my commitment.

To every player, coach, and owner with a dream—your opportunity is coming. Stay ready.
